OzTag is covered for public liability of $20 000000. What if I have new items? When a new electrical appliance is purchased a staff member can apply a "New to Service" (NTS) tag, supplied by OzTag. NTS tags are simply the best way to confirm the status of new appliances or leads at a site as "newly" installed. The benefit of asset owners attaching an NTS tag to new items at the time of introduction are: § Users can be assured that the "new" status of an installed item is guaranteed and cannot be confused with an untagged item. § The individual responsible for testing and tagging items at the site would be certain that the item is new to service and was not omitted from a previous round of tests. § The individual responsible for testing and tagging items has all newly introduced items conveniently tagged with an appliance number and appliance number bar code, which speeds up the test procedure. Are your technicians qualified to test my appliances? Trained Technicians: OzTag test technicians are trained to thoroughly inspect and test all electrical appliances in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760. Certified Technicians: All technicians hold a current certificate that authorises them to test and tag "plug in" electrical equipment to AS/NZS 3760 and AS/NZS 3012 requirements. Respect For Your Workplace OzTag test technicians maintain a high standard of respect for the procedure within your workplace in order to minimize disruption. Security and Privacy: OzTag technicians follow strict security and privacy guidelines with regard to your workplace and the offices within. These include: § Access to restricted areas only with appropriated authorisation. § To perform run tests on machinery only with appropriated authorisation. § Will not disturb an office or work area without appropriated authorisation. § Will not power down any computer or system without appropriated authorisation. § Police checks are welcome.
